Lawson Green

The Lawson Green Apartments is a 30-unit 100% affordable independent senior living residence located on the campus of an existing Scituate Housing Authority (SHA) property. The project was designed by SMOOK architecture and developed by Grantham as a Friendly 40B in close conjunction with the Scituate Housing Authority and the Town of Scituate under a public process like the one contemplated in this RFP. The Lawson Green Apartments was financed through a combination of federal LIHTC equity, HOME funds, Massachusetts Affordable Housing Trust Funds, Scituate CPA Funds, Scituate Affordable Housing Trust Funds, and conventional debt.  The project closed on its financing in January of 2020, broke ground February 15, 2020, and was completed on-time, under budget and ahead of schedule in February of 2021, despite the upheavals of the Covid-19 pandemic.
